We are looking for our next great Tax Manager to help us continue our growth. Relevant public accounting & tax experience is a must, five years or more is a plus. You are that next person if you:

In this critical position you will:

  • prepare and review work papers, income tax returns (corporate, partnerships, non-profit and individuals). We are growing our estate/trust and business valuations niches, experience or interest in these areas is a plus
  • prepare and review financial statements (compilation and review levels)
  • audits
  • prepare tax planning, tax strategy & tax research
  • apply strong technical skills and problem solving with client work
  • be the primary manager for client work once you are trained in our processes
  • oversee and manage engagements, prioritize tasks and supervise/motivate staff
  • build relationships with clients and community contacts and contribute to the ongoing development efforts of the firm
  • assist in training and mentoring other team members
  • possess critical thinking and research skills to determine conclusions and recommendations
  • develop your supervisory and management skills with the expectation that within one year, you will lead and manage a team of accountants
  • develop the ability to identify and propose resolutions to income tax and other issues clients will have

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required; Master of Tax desirable but not required
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Previous experience in a public accounting firm preferred
  • CPA required
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervising and training experience
  • Proficient in corporate, partnership and individual taxation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills required for managing multiple client engagements
