We’ve just been made aware of the Treasury and IRS announcement that the April 15th tax season deadline will be delayed by 90 days until July 15th, 2020.
More specific details are:
Taxpayers can delay paying their income taxes on as much as $1 million in taxes owed for up to 90 days.
This relief is for federal returns. We will be working to double-check your state’s tax deadlines to see if there are any delays.
Corporate filers will receive the same length of time to pay amounts due on up to $10 million in taxes owed.
During that three-month deferral period, taxpayers won’t be subject to interest and penalties.
We will continue working proactively to prepare your tax returns; however, for the safety and well-being of our clients and our staff, we won’t be focused on the traditional April 15th tax season deadline date at this time.
We are available to discuss any questions or concerns you might have during this difficult time.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
